About Kirsty |
|

|
I have always
loved creating, exploring and experimenting with art, forming that
final image with either a pen, paintbrush or camera. I am inspired
by new experiences, new knowledge, and new meetings, and therefore
always try to create something different with my art, having as much
variety as possible. |

 |
Once I have created a new piece of work the most important
thing to me is seeing how it connects to different people, if at
all, and then seeing what it means to them, rather than me
passing on why I created it. I am very passionate about, and believe
that each piece of work should speak for itself to different
individuals rather than being put in a box and labelled by me, the
artist. |
 |
 |
In this
digital world that we now live in, although it is impressive, I
prefer to stick with tradition, and the good, old fashioned way-
therefore all my photos are taken with my slightly battered SLR, and
are not tampered with.
I prefer to keep everything as natural as
possible, and to be honest I think that something is lost when
images are taken digitally. |
 |
I hope that you find it interesting looking at my pieces,
maybe connecting with some, and not with others! I believe ART is
here to evoke feelings and emotions, and therefore I would like to
create that strong connection with one of my pieces and you. |

Adventures of a Dotty
Mind
I had my first
exhibition in March and it was very successful. Some of the
highlights being that people thought it was a group of artists work
due to the variety, and another that visitors enjoyed my exhibition
enough to tell their friends and family to pop along.
Here are some comments
from my Visitors book
-'Lots of variety, lots
of colour, lots of talent, well done!
-'Marvellous mind to
look at things very closely that are near, and then to look at
things all over the world.'
-'Great colour and imagination.'
-'A fine selection of artwork and photos' |
